  Greddy EVO2 exhaust installed!!1!

Okay, so this install was a royal PITA. Relocating the evap canister is lame, and very time consuming. If I didn't have a really well outfitted garage, I never could have finished this install. The evap canister relocate bracket was off by about 3/8 of an inch. This required grinding down a 1/4" piece of the tab, and cutting 3/8" off of it. Basically, the tab was too thick and too long to slide into the hanger of the evap canister. The hoses that are supplied for the evap canister are too thin walled, and want to kink. I ended up using some other hose (fuel safe) that I have stocked in the garage.

Other than that, it was a really easy install. 100% worth it. it sounds freakin AWESOME, and the butt dyno says I have more power. Also, I noticed that the slip light was flashing a few times where it never has before.

Sorry for the lack of pictures. After f**king with the evap canister, and craving a cigarette more than I ever have since I quit, I was in "finish it" mode, and left the camera in the front seat.

*IMPORTANT NOTE* If you ever disconnect your battery, make sure that both doors are open BEFORE you disconnect the battery. I almost blew out the drivers side window when I tried to close the door. The window hadn't dropped down, since the battery was dead.

I will post up a sound clip as soon as the camcorder's battery is charged.

If you lived on the English speaking side of Canada, I would consider it. Too much toast and fries over there... .

Yeah, I would highly recommend this exhaust, except I thought it would be necessary to point out that there could be some hang ups with the evap canister mount. I fiddled with it for 1/2 an hour, until I finally realized that the only answer is that it wasn't welded correctly.

Also, I forgot to mention, that there was a minor fittment problem. The left side tip was wanting to ride against the bumper. I ended up solving the problem by sacrificing an old 12mm sockit, and shoving the sockit into the rubber hanger. This lengthened the hanger by stretching it. I started out with a 4mm and used it as a taper to keep pushing larger sockits through, until I had proper fitment. So now there is a 12mm sockit riding squished in the middle of the rubber hanger. Was just like guaging out your ears...

I'll be taking a couple of back streets on the way to work, just for that reason. There is a nice one underneath the State Capital Campus. It's about 1/4 mile long...

Nice. I was afraid the greddy was going to sound rice but it sounds sex. Good Choice. I was at the track one time and a 350z had a single exhaust and it sounded like a civic. I wanted to smack the guy.

I wouldn't have bought the Greddy if there wasn't a 350z that had it. I was able to hear it in person, and I liked it. But before hearing it, I was afraid it would sound rice.

Bean that sounds GREAT!! I opened up the sound bit and was like, ok it has a nice mellow tone. Then you hit the gas and I was like WHAT THE .

Not ricer at all. Good job.

By the way, maybe you should move to Canada with that Mcgaiver (sp) 12mm spacer and all.

That sounds really nice. But that did seem like a lot of work. But then again i spent 16hrs installing a lift kit on my Jeep. It was a hell without a lift and a compressor but i saved myself about 1k

It's not a pain in my arse, but the hips and shoulder blades are rather sore...

Ditto. You only save about a hundred bucks. And with no lift(me) it would be a whore. I dropped it off at a shop on the way to work and my girl dropped me off at work. By noon it was finished and i sent my friend to pick it up. I spent the rest of that day looking out my back window day dreaming about drive it. Oh my god that was a long day. When i change the Headers+cats i will probably have a similar day.

Best I could find was $250 to install the exhaust.

$600 to install the headers.

Those are the best prices I could find.

car had something like 1800 miles on it. its from a 2005 6MT...and i'm pretty sure that all 2005+ 6MT's are VLSD right?

for the whole sub frame he is looking for $1200 shipped.

Said he'd part out just the differential if the price was right.

I'll get you his info if you're still interested.

Where is it at?

Also, I just noticed it's a VSLD? I think I want a clutch style LSD. I would end up burning up the fluid too quickly. Plus once the fluid gets hot, it's no longer viscous enough to work properly, and tyou end up with wheel spin on the main drive wheel.
