I would complain to the service manager - there is no reason that you should be getting scratches on your baby! That's poor service, and it should be taken care of - if the service manager doesn't do anything, call Corporate and file a complaint - you'll be sure to be heard. Sorry, I'm a nut for detaining too, and if someone so much as looks at my car wrong I freak out too - there is no reason you should be getting full on scratches...

Thanks...that is a good idea. If I don't hear back from them on the email I sent, I'll go higher up.Can I take my Infiniti to a Nissan dealer for oil changes and get the same quality parts?

Yup - it's all the same stuff in the end - though there might be some specific repairs that need to be done at Infiniti. But your basic oil change and such is ok to be done at Nissan - the filter is the same, and they most likely use the same oil as well.

Make sure you talk to the service manager at infiniti, something isnt going right. If he isn't an idiot, he'll make sure you get better treatment next time. You can go get service work done at nissan, they have ester oil also. If you dont use ester oil. though, make sure the oil they use is quality. Around here some nissan dealers dont use the same quality oil at infiniti. Standard oil here is Quaker state high horsepower.

I WOULD COMPLAIN TO THE SERVICE MANAGER. I WORK AT A DEALERSHIP AS A TECH AND IF THE SERVICE WRITERS DO NOT DOCUMENT CHIPS AND DINGS AND SUCH WE ARE REQUIRE TO REPAIR THEM.

I would certainly say something, but don't "complain". since they are your only choice, you want them to continue treating you right each time. Maybe see if they'll give you some touch-up paint for free to fix the scratches.

My Infiniti dealer has damaged my car 3 times. Once it was a scuff mark I polished out, the second time it was a dent and scratch on the trim piece around the shifter, the last time damage to both front mud guards. What is important is what is stated on the work order when it comes to scratches, etc. The problem I see is often you see this at the end for certain types of work, such as the mud guards since the car was delivered to them. History can be revised. That was one thing I liked about the local Chrysler dealer. The work order was signed before work began on anything. Perry

My salesman just called me. He is such a great guy. He offered for them to fix it. I would rather try to get it out with Scratch Out then have them hit that black paint with a buffer. I just got the swirls out of it that it had when I bought it. If I can't get it out I will take it back to them. He told me to call him everytime I come in and let him look at the car with me. That is more time consuming than I would like, but at least they are trying to please me.
